Fabulous product but prepare your forklift!! - Saw a teak table and chairs at Neiman Marcus Last Call, but when we went to purchase it had already been sold. This is so much nicer! We got the size table, number of chairs, and cushions we wanted. The quality is excellent and we had no problem following assembly direction. Everything was packaged in a very protective manner so items were in perfect condition. Be forewarned that the shipping crate is huge! We ordered a table that seats 12 and the delivery required a forklift. In fact, because snow and rain were in the forecast for the days immediately after deliver, I requested that the crate be placed in our garage. It just barely fit width-wise through our garage door! My only issue would be that we had to hire a "junk removal service" to get rid of the huge wooden shipping crate and numerous cardboard boxes, Styrofoam blocks, and protective cardboard panels in which our items were delivered. I asked the delivery service if they could haul the palette and crate out. They took the pallet but refused to wait to uncrate the items and take the crate with them. The crate was put together with woodscrews and actually took a while to open. I did not remove any stars for the delivery issues because we purchased a teak buffet from another company and had similar issues. I used the opportunity to have The Junk King dispose of some other household garbage requiring a special service to remove.

The order (which was a present shipped to my parents) did indeed arrive intact. My parents had waited to open the boxes until my husband and I were out with them over Christmas week. (Settling into a new house a mere 2 weeks later prior to the arrival of Christmas guests, I think they were hesitant to begin a new assembly project, particularly as most of our experience in these matters is that these tasks can be a bit more time consuming than one might expect/hope!) So, my husband and my first job upon arrival was to put together the furniture. (Well, we may have indulged in a few Christmas cookies, first,but that was purely for the substanance needed for the job at hand!) I think if my folks (who helped out) had realized how easy this would be (wooden pegs and just one screw - very impressive!) they would have assembled everything the day it arrived; however, I\'m glad they waited as it was great to see first hand the quality of the workmanship, the wood, and how perfectly the pieces fit together. In short my parents were ecstatic and absolutely love the pieces. I am thrilled with the quality and how well they look at their new place. It was exactly the special gift that I was in search of to welcome my parents to their new home and also to thank them for all they have done for me over the years. You have a great product and one that everyone at Westminster Teak should be proud of. I hope that at some point my husband and I have reason to work with your company again!
