Received our order on Friday, 12-23. Delivery was in perfect condition! I cannot expess how happy we are with the quality of the teak pieces we purchased. The wood, color, and workmanship are fantastic! The packaging was awesome and nothing but first quality heavy duty boxes as well! I was a bit leary about having to assemble the pieces ... was afraid all the joints would not fit properly and especially worried about the small fragile looking dowels. I was amazed how easily the assembly went and the dowels worked perfctly ... nearly every single dowel went in quite easily. I also noted after assembling the first 1-2 pieces that the dowel edges were slightly shave at one end allowing for an easy and smooth entry. A few dowels required a steel hammer for the last 1/8" or so .... which I did after completing the eight pieces. I think I only sanded one joint fitting ever so slightly for a perfect fit! I can tell you this ... I will recommend Westmisnster Teak to all who will surely be asking ... 'where did you get this furniture'? We needed new patio furniture. And by chance I recently paid $40 for a 5 yr old teak glider, by Smith and Hawken, at a garage sale. It was in great condition but I sanded it lightly and applied some teak oil (which I now know not to do) and placed it on our courtyard patio. My wife and I liked it so much we started looking for teak furniture on the Web. Its how we found you and others. Your Web site, testimonials, holiday sale warranty, turned us into customers. Your order arrived in good shape. They were easy to assemble and we liked the fact that you used wooden pegs rather than screws to attach the legs. We were so pleased by the first order of two teak benches we ordered that we ordered two more. We bought the teak benches for seating in our martial arts school, the Stow Martial Arts Center. Two benches grace our entry lobby and provide seating for students waiting to be picked up and also for a place to sit while removing shoes. The other teakwood benches are in our changing rooms to provide seating while changing into karate uniforms. Just wanted to let you know that my husband took an exacto knife and some sand paper to the side of the tower, and was able to take enough off to get the glass to fit. You can't even tell that there was ever an issue. Westminster Teak has completely exceeded my expectations as a consumer. Fabulous product but prepare your forklift!! - Saw a teak table and chairs at Neiman Marcus Last Call, but when we went to purchase it had already been sold. This is so much nicer! We got the size table, number of chairs, and cushions we wanted. The quality is excellent and we had no problem following assembly direction. Everything was packaged in a very protective manner so items were in perfect condition. Be forewarned that the shipping crate is huge! We ordered a table that seats 12 and the delivery required a forklift. In fact, because snow and rain were in the forecast for the days immediately after deliver, I requested that the crate be placed in our garage. It just barely fit width-wise through our garage door! My only issue would be that we had to hire a "junk removal service" to get rid of the huge wooden shipping crate and numerous cardboard boxes, Styrofoam blocks, and protective cardboard panels in which our items were delivered. I asked the delivery service if they could haul the palette and crate out. They took the pallet but refused to wait to uncrate the items and take the crate with them. The crate was put together with woodscrews and actually took a while to open. I did not remove any stars for the delivery issues because we purchased a teak buffet from another company and had similar issues. I used the opportunity to have The Junk King dispose of some other household garbage requiring a special service to remove.
